MicroPro® Treatment Process
1. Wood Preparation
The timber to be treated is typically prepared by ensuring it is clean and free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants. This allows for better absorption of the treatment solution.
2. Treatment Application
The Protim Micro treatment solution is applied to the wood through pressure treatment. The micronized copper-based formulation penetrates the wood fibers to provide protection against decay and insects.
3. Absorption and Retention
The treated wood is allowed to absorb the treatment solution, ensuring it reaches the core of the timber. The treatment solution is designed to be retained within the wood, providing long-lasting protection.
4. Drying and Finishing
After the treatment, the wood does not need to be dried due to the solvent that carries the chemical evaporating and leaving the chemical penetrated in the wood. Due to this evaporation the timber is typically treated in its already finished format.
